Kendyl is a mother, a yogini and a performing musician. She has a master’s degree in education and has been teaching yoga and music for over 13 years on the North Shore of Oahu. She did her yoga teacher training with Sri Dharma Mittra in 2009 at his New York Center and then went on to teach under Sonya Enchill at her non-profit Dharma Yoga Studio in inner-city Los Angeles. She still teaches and studies with Sonya in Los Angeles and Hawaii, and hosts various retreats and trainings. Kendyl loves to weave live music, sound healing and Kirtan into her classes and ceremonies. She sings, and plays Hawaiian Slack Key guitar, ukulele, harmonica, harmonium, melodic pan drums, gong, and crystal alchemy singing bowls. She also integrates the practices of pranayama, meditation, and deep relaxation.
Kendyl is trained and certified by the International Association of Kambo Practitioners (IAKP).
She was trained in a number of different traditional ways to serve Kambo and has also been trained to work with the Meridians, the Chakras, Nadis and Marma Points and even the ears – Auricular Kambo. Added to this, she has also studied new techniques to allow people to take Kambo in a way that is gentler on their system but still allows them to enjoy the maximum benefits.
Kendyl is also an advanced Reiki master teacher and has trained in Lomi Lomi and traditional la‘au lapa‘au She integrates yoga, music and Reiki to serve her clients. She believes in healing that addresses the whole person – mind, body and spirit.
